About Arkanoid and the Golden Apple of Chaos:
To call Arkanoid and the Golden Apple of Chaos a band would be stretching the truth to a pretty absurd degree. I'm just one dude who likes fucking around with guitar and piano tracks and then mixing them together, rather unprofessionally, with a number of simulated instruments on my trusty iMac. That's why the rhythm stuff wavers between poor and nonexistant. Also, I'm lazy so the levels and timing are all off and I don't really care. These songs are definitely works in progress. I was going to name the "band" simply Arkanoid, but that's taken by an emo group from Spain, which might have annoyed me had they not written a song called Ronnie James Dio. All is forgiven. Arkanoid refers to an arcade game I pumped hundreds of dollars worth of quarters into during college, while the golden apple of chaos is a reference to Greek mythology, sort of, but more to the wonderful religion disguised as a joke known as discordianism, which posits chaos as an equally desirable state of existence as order. Hail Eris! All Hail Discordia! |
