Letter from the Editor
Hello You!
Thanks for tuning in. This issue holds a very special day for the SiDEKiCK – June 15th offically marks our 1 year birthday. Yes, it is hard to belive that just one year ago we started delivering our quaint little publication to the businesses of Spokane and Spokane Valley. In that time we have grown from a mere 4,000 issues to our current total of 8,500. Not bad for a couple of dudes in a basement.
First off we would like to thank all of our advertisers that have been with us since our first issue – Boo Radley’s, Brooklyn Nights, The Blvd and The Zombie Room (Spread), we salute you. We would also like to thank everyone else who, throughout the year, have decided that the SiDEKiCK is the best way to inform Spokane about your event or service. But while our advertisiers pay the bill, it is the readers who have really kept this paper going. We really appreciate your comments and suggestions – they make us belive that people still care and sometimes that is the only thing that keeps us going.
Over the past 12 month we have seen a 125% increase in circulation, a 2,100% increase in web traffic, and listened to roughly 2,835 hours of music. Kind of blows our minds.
To celebrate making it through our first year we are going to take a little break. Don’t be scared, it is just for a week. We will be back in full force with some improvements to both the issue and the website (www.spokanesidekick.com) on June 21st, 2007.
Once again, thank you Spokane for embracing our colorful little paper. Remember, it’s all for you.
XOXOXO,
Andy Rowse
